NLPA Scholarships

The Nebraska Legal Professionals Association is a statewide organization consisting of three chapters and affiliated members-at-large established in 1997. Its members share a common interest in promoting continuing professionalism in the legal field. There will be a $1,250.00 scholarship for first place and $750.00 scholarship for second place. The scholarship will be awarded in 2018 to Nebraska students enrolled in a certified program leading to a career in law.

All applicants must be enrolled full-time in paralegal, legal secretarial, criminal justice or a law-related undergraduate program. There shall be a first and second place winner and an alternate winner. A check for $625.00 for the first place recipient and a check for $375.00 for the second place winner will be issued to the institution each semester after verifying the student is still enrolled and taking the required classes. If the first-place winner is unable to accept the first place award, the award shall go to the second place winner. If the second-place winner is unable to accept the second-place award, or moves up to accept the first-place award, the second-place award shall go to the alternate.
